Summary of Positions: Instructors are responsible for providing quality academic curriculum, instruction, assessment, and for ensuring a productive and challenging learning experience is delivered to prepare students for the workplace and/or a pathway to further education. This position works to promote social justice within the division and the larger academic institution.
ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR – AGRIBUSINESS ACADEMY
Starting salary range based on education and experience: $43 - $47/hour. This position would be teaching at our Tomah Regional Learning Center on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings with a virtual aspect. The modality would be a Hybrid model with mostly Face to Face instruction.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 2 years related occupational experience; one year in the last 5 years
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in related field
Required Certification/Licenses:
- Eligible for/or meets WTCS Instructor certification which includes occupational and professional experience and must be maintained
- Individual program certification may be required and must be maintained (e.g. RN; public safety)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience preferred
ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR – INTERIOR DESIGN
Starting salary range based on education and experience: $43 - $47/hour. Instruction will be primarily in the face-to-face format but would have some flexibility.

Qualifications
- Minimum Educational and Occupational Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required OR
- Associates Degree in Interior Design/related and willingness to complete Bachelor's degree
- Two years directly related occupational experience. One of these years (2,000 hrs.) must be within the last five years
Required Certification/Licenses:
- Eligible for/or meets WTCS Instructor certification which includes occupational and professional experience and must be maintained
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience preferred
INSTRUCTOR –AUTO (LTE APRIL 2026)
Starting annual salary range based on education and experience: $57,929 - $76,756
This position would include competitive salary, along with a wide variety of benefits available to full-time Western Technical College Employees. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Occupational Requirements:
- Associate Degree with 3.5 yrs. (7,000 hrs) verifiable related occupational experience, one year (2,000 hrs) experience needs to be within 5 yrs of hire date OR
- Technical Diploma in the field and 4.5 years (9,000 hrs) verifiable occupational experience in field, one year (2,000 hrs) experience must be within 5 yrs of hire date and willingness to obtain Associate Degree within 5 years (Educational Reimbursement is available)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Teaching experience
Required Certification/Licenses:
- Eligible for/or meets WTCS Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements.
Testing:
- Hearing Baseline Test and Audiogram
All Instructor positions require Copies of Transcripts from regionally accredited colleges or universities are acceptable during the application process (originals will be required upon hire)
