VCU Athletics is currently seeking a Video Coordinator for Women's Basketball. The Women's Basketball Video Coordinator's chief purpose is to coordinate all video filming and editing for practices and competition as well as film collection. Reporting to the Head Women's Basketball Coach, the Women's Basketball Video Coordinator works to further VCU Athletics' mission to win conference and national championships, provide a first-class student-athlete experience, serve as a source of pride for the University and community, and cultivate graduates who excel as leaders.

Video Editing

Coordinate all video filming and breakdown for practices and competition, including uploading the videos into the editing system. The intended result is to provide another resource to the women's basketball staff and student-athletes in preparation for competing against other institutions;
Coordinate and oversee the use of applicable software to provide coaching staff with the resources to create video breakdowns to prepare women's basketball student-athletes for competition;
Assist the women's basketball staff in preparation of video breakdowns; and
Maintain an organized system of all game films, practice films, edits, etc.

Film exchange & software travel

Coordinate all film exchanges, gaining as much information about opposing teams as possible;
Maintain understanding of NCAA and A-10 film exchange policy and procedures; and
Oversee all travel with software, including utilization of the software on the road.

Minimum Hiring Standards:
  • Bachelor's degree or training & experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree;
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience at the NCAA Division I level; and
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Hiring Standards:
  • An advanced degree or training & experience equivalent to an advanced degree;
  • Two (2) years experience at the NCAA Division I level; and
  • Collegiate or professional experience with Synergy and Sportscode systems.
