Job Description:
The Project Manager/ Structural-Architectural Systems Owner duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Building shells, interior finishes, cleanroom finishes, raised floors, tool bases, site work, storm water, roads, parking, signage, landscaping, and code compliance at the NY Creates Campus/Albany.
- Candidate shall be given new major construction Project Management responsibilities to develop & oversee scope of work packages, new building designs; oversee construction activities of awarded design/build firms.
- Responsible for all site work including storm water management systems, roads, parking, signage, and landscaping; ensure adequate capacity of storm water systems,
- Support new construction and infrastructure upgrades; specify finishes that meet NY Creates and tenant needs; develop sizing's and cost estimates of projects and review with NY Creates management.
- Participate in the bid, evaluation, and award process; reviewing outside consultant designs; monitor construction quality and progress in the field.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements for Project Manager - Structural-Architectural Systems
- A Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
AND
- A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer or Architect in the facilities engineering organization of a major semiconductor manufacturer or with a supplier to the semiconductor industry. Project Management Professional certification a plus.
- Candidates must address in their applications their ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
- This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks
