Safety & Compliance Manager

Norsemen's Safety Manager will maintain compliance with all Federal and State regulations.  The Safety Manager must have strong organizational and communication skills to be able to communicate effectively at all levels.  In addition, the Safety Manager will oversee driver safety, mechanic safety, accidents, work comp claims, drug testing, logging, permitting, training, driver hiring, and related record keeping.

Role Responsibilities:

*Ensure the company and all employees comply with Federal and State regulations - FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, HOS, ELD

*Collaborate with insurance companies and manage claims

*Monitor and maintain Driver Qualification Files

*Driver Hiring

*DOT Drug/Alcohol Compliance

*Monitor, Review, and implement Employee Handbook

*Respond to incidents and accidents: accident prevention discussions, and review proper accountability

*Driver Training

*Collaborate with drivers on mandated health cards and licensing

Experience and Skills Required: 

*Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA policies

*Experience with drug and alcohol policies and procedures

*Excellent written and oral communication skills 

*Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

*CDL Class A License

*Supervisory Experience

*Previous Fleet Safety Experience
