The Senior Network Engineer position is responsible for maintaining and administering our company's computer networks. This includes designing and engineering solutions for critical infrastructure initiatives to develop and maintain a vision for the corporate Network infrastructure. Work with team members and local site administrators to implement a networking environment for a large nationwide network.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Provide high level technical direction and support related to the enterprise network structure.
• Collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze and validate the information needs and functional requirements.
• Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
• Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
• Work with technology vendors to provide solutions that are effective for the enterprise.
• Provide technical leadership for deployment and support teams.
• Ensure stability in the production environment - before, during, and after system changes.
• Develop and maintain effective cross functional working relationships with corporate and local teams to ensure a consistent support structure.
• Provide tier two and three level support for the corporate environment.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including periodic times outside of normal business hours.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware (Cisco, Citrix SDWAN, Palo Alto. Fortinet).
• Enterprise level networking knowledge from large organizations with multiple locations distributed throughout the country.
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network systems.
• Intermediate to advanced levels of network architecture would be highly valuable.
• Expert level understanding and demonstrated ability for the inner-workings of the various network routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) used across our organization; to include dynamic routing.
• Previous Fortinet and Cisco experience required.
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
• Multiple Firewall (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortigate) experience including UTM environment.
• Must be able to work effectively with a variety of people, as part of a team or independently, and enforce policies without alienating employees.
• Able to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Strong work ethic, demonstrated self-starter, ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors in networking, network security or other closely related engineering field from a recognized institution or the equivalent amount of related work experience.
• 10+ years' of enterprise network engineering experience within a large organization.
• 5+ years' experience with firewall and network security protocols.
• 7+ years' experience with dynamic routing, URL filtering and network segmentation.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining SD-WAN environments.
• Demonstrated experience learning and growing through continuing formal or informal education.
• Current certifications in networking systems a plus such as; Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Meraki etc.
