A Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all operations of the pharmacy including filling prescriptions and supervising all other members of the department in order to sell both prescribed and over the counter drugs. Must be licensed in the State of TX
- Fill prescribed drugs, enter prescription data, order all prescription supplies, train other personnel in the department, operate register for pharmacy sales, and all other duties as assigned by the director of pharmacy.
- Be responsible for all budgetary expectations regarding sales, gross margin, labor, CTO and all other lines listed on the Pharmacy Profit/Loss statement.
- Review and understand all period/quarterly financial statements.
- Hire, evaluate, train, manage and terminate technicians and clerks per company policy.
- Ensure an atmosphere of confidentiality in regards to pharmacy records, customer records and all other aspects of the department, and fully comply with OBRA 1990.
- Active participation in certain clinical initiatives, including MTM and immunizations, is required.
- Be open to training or certification in compounding and/or preceptorship if requested.
