Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
The Baltimore County Revenue Authority is seeking a FT Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at the Greystone Grille located at the Greystone Golf Course in White Hall, MD. The ideal candidate is someone who loves to cook, has previous catering experience and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.
The Food & Beverage department is responsible for the open kitchen grill area, beverage cart service, the catering of golf outings as well as private events.
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager must be able to assume complete responsibility of all operations in the absence of the manager.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Employee training and supervision in all aspects of food service. Daily cash handling and reconciliation, purchasing, cost controls, inventory, and sanitation. Participate in client meetings regarding catering events as needed by conducting site visits, discussing menu, etc. Communicate with various managers at our other golf courses regarding catering assistance needed. Provide exceptional customer service to customers and be willing to pitch in wherever needed. You must be a enjoy interacting with people. During the off season the Assistant Manager will strategize with the Manager on ways to increase revenue, create new menus and specials, increase non golf catered events such as parties, meetings, etc.
This position requires above average culinary skills. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for all aspects of catering both golf and non golf outings from start to finish including cooking, menu creation and pricing. Additionally, taking orders, drink making, cashiering, and cooking in the grill area will be required.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, independent thinker with strong leadership skills. Exceptional customer service skills is a MUST! An interest in the game of golf would be considered an asset.
Pay rate up to $19.25/hr depending on experience where you will be eligible for gratuities including the catered events/outings/grill. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.

Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organization skills
Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays is a must.
2+ years of previous supervisory strongly preferred
2+ years of foodservice and/or bar experience
Previous catering experience required
Strong computer skills
Previous experience with scheduling, payroll, training is preferred
Must maintain food and alcohol certifications
Must be at least 21 years of age
